Abstract

Scanning more than two thousand years of economic history, it is hard to discern spontaneous monetary impetus to real economic fluctuations. But systematic vibration in the action of monetary authorities (MAs) may induce systematic ‘real’ vibration. Of course, an MA might impart a regular vibration to an economy it makes less volatile.
