Abstract

The preceding chapters have examined a number of key issues in international auditing. Chapter 1 established why the topic of international auditing was worthy of study. Chapter 2 provided some background to the subsequent chapters by analysing why there is a need for auditing and auditing standards. The discussion was placed in an international context by analysing the particular relevance of auditing and auditing standards to MNCs.
