Abstract

The objective of this paper is to provide a framework for analysing the expenditure policies of oil revenue in industrialised countries. It is a case study of the United Kingdom, covering the twenty-five year period from 1976 — the commencement of the generation of the UK petroleum sector — to the year 2000.
