Abstract

Information systems have to be designed to cope with a constantly changing situation. Changes take place in both the needs of the user and also in the relevance of different forms of information. To meet these requirements, information systems must be designed with five basic attributes: flexibility, reliability, economy, simplicity and helpfulness—all vital attributes of the successful information system.
