Abstract

Nationalisation has become a widely used policy instrument among thirdworld governments. Its use leads almost inevitably to a series of issues in respect of acquisition, compensation, and initial operation. While in one sense technical and, perhaps, general these are in another integrally related to broader political economic issues and to specific objective and goal contexts.
