The Relation between Production and Distribution

Abstract

Trade normally provides a link between production and consumption (including ‘productive consumption’, i.e. the use of intermediate goods in the process of production). However, its actual functions performed in a Socialist economy depend on the stage of economic development, the system of planning and management, the organization of production, the role of the consumer, the nature of markets and the accepted strategy of growth in general.
