Abstract

Entrepreneurship often comes from unexpected people in unexpected ways. Long resumés of corporate managerial experience and graduate business school degrees do not guarantee success for early-stage companies. Instead, the passion and perseverance of those convinced that their way is best, that their way will work, that their way will win far outweighs sophisticated strategic planning and analysis. There is an artistic nature to successful entrepreneurship. Creative force and individualistic spirit drive innovation in ways that change our world. Few people have the right stuff, but when they do, they can transform industries, economies, and society.
