Jason and the Jaguar: The Case of the Unmotivated Employee

Abstract

This case study is illuminated by a summary of major Western theories of motivation and differences in workplace cultures that require different leadership styles. The leadership behaviour it describes might be usefully applied to other management situations that require workers to be motivated to perform even unwelcome tasks, because they are encouraged to feel part of the firm.
