Abstract

The tendency to worry about potential events or future possibilities causes suffering and depletion of the personal reserves needed for coping with the present reality. Only in a true moment of need can we garner the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional strength necessary to prevail. As Winston Churchill stated, “When I look back on all these worries, I remember the story of the old man who said on his death bed that he had a lot of trouble in his life, most of which never happened.”
