Abstract

In order to grow, service clubs and districts need to assess their strengths and areas for improvements. They need to understand who their members are, why they joined, and why they stay. The vitality of clubs depends on their ability to engage members with different interests, so that the whole is larger than the sum of the parts. But to do that, an assessment of how clubs are doing is needed. This chapter shows how this can be done and what can be learned through the results of a membership survey conducted for Rotary district 7620.
