Empirical Study of White-Collar Lawyers

Abstract

Several options exist to identify a substantial sample of white-collar criminals and to collect relevant information about each criminal and his or her lawyer. However, in a small country like Norway with a population of only five million people, there are limits to available sample size. One option would be to study court cases involving white-collar crime and criminals. A challenge in that case would be to identify the relevant laws and sentences that cover this book’s definition not only of white-collar crime, but also the required characteristics of white-collar criminals.
