Abstract

Education is not limited to a formal setting. It can be gained everywhere: through reading, dialogues with wise people, and in many other ways. It’s so easy to let those grey cells remain idle and not activate them anymore. It takes courage to keep educating ourselves, even when there is no immediate pay-off Education is a time-consuming endeavor, and often entails some elements of tediousness, which may result in giving up if one lacks determination. In educating ourselves, we have to be willing to make mistakes and be corrected. We also have to be willing to take risks, because there is no guarantee that our education will lead to a more prosperous future. There is just one guarantee: it will lead to better understanding and insight, and it’s up to us what we want to do with that.
