Attitude—The One Thing No One Can Decide for You

Abstract

We cannot always influence the course of our lives, but we can decide on our attitude regarding the things we face on our path. To maintain a positive or firm attitude in the face of adversity is not an easy task. It is so much easier to lay low and wait until the storm has passed, or follow the crowd, even if we don’t agree with its cause. Many people do it already, when they stay in jobs that they dread day after day, year after year, and lack the will or stamina to target their real area of passion. Our attitude can determine whether we will end up with a disappointed feeling about our lives and the many fascinating avenues we missed, or with the elated awareness that we pursued our dreams and unleashed our potential.
