Your essential trend toolkit

Abstract

One of the most empowering things about working within the Trend Management Toolkit is that it does not act as a prescription for how your organization must think and act. Instead, it scans a four-dimensional landscape of scientific, social, emotional, and spiritual trend influences in order to inspire a visual representation of how the future might evolve and manifest. As discussed in Chapter 3, the system is an interdisciplinary method that draws on elements of all the key forecasting approaches, also allowing room to think the unthinkable — the wild card predictions — enabling companies to develop a bespoke outline or disruptive idea for their future.
