    (Green Economy Think Tank)

Abstract

AS A PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR, community activist, and green economy advocate, I am committed to shifting the global economy to a partnership between people and nature dedicated to creating a thriving civilization, which supports health and happiness. By the time I found myself at a desk in Smith Barney in 1991 on the fifty-second floor of an office tower in Downtown LA, I had already become a passionate environmentalist— ironically catalyzed through an international association of economics students. Through my participation at the UCLA chapter of AIESEC, an international student organization in five hundred universities, I learned the term “sustainable development,” defined as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
