Abstract

According to the World Bank after the expansion of 3.8 percent in 2010, the anticipated global growth rates from 2011 through 2013 will be slower. For 2011 the estimate is roughly 3.2 percent with a 2012 and 2013 forecast of 3.6 percent for each year respectively. Moreover, total growth projection for the developing economies (BRICS) is a very respectable 6.3 percent for 2011 through 2013. Additionally, the Bank also makes the case that the outlying developing nations (non-BRICS) will grow by approximately 4.5 percent in the same time period (see Table 4.1). 1
