Abstract

Shandong is a province of the PRC and is part of the east China region. Situated in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, its territory consists of the Shandong Peninsular and adjacent inland. It borders the Bohai Sea to the north, Hebei Province to the northwest, Henan Province to the west, Jiangsu Province to the south and the Yellow Sea to the southeast. It also shares a very short border with Anhui Province. The region stretches 420 km from south to north and 700 km from east to west. Its coastline is 3,000 km long.
