Abstract

In the past 15 years, scholars and policy-makers have been showing increasing interest in knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS), mainly because of the growth in the numbers of firms offering knowledge-based services in the business-to-business domain and in the income they generate, but also because KIBS are services that contribute significantly to the performance of the industries they serve (Miles, 2005a).
