Abstract

Since the late 1990s, we have seen a new wave of values-driven business people wake up to the issues of Diversity and Inclusion. We realise that now more than ever, we have an unprecedented opportunity to create the kind of societies and organisations in which we all want to live and work. These are societies and organisations where values are more important than skin colour and where all people have the opportunity to succeed on merit. Environments where being British can be as relevant for Black people as it is for White people, where people are selected because of the gifts they bring and promoted based on what they do and, more importantly, how they behave when they are doing it.
