The Management of Resources

Abstract

WITHIN the concept of building international niche businesses which have global ambitions but are focused on a narrow range of products and services, it is important to concentrate resources on the essential activities for these businesses and to use them to maximum effect. This will often mean concentrating on final assembly and sub-contracting out all, or the bulk of component supply, thus enabling the business in question to be light on its feet and able to respond quickly to rapid changes in markets and economic conditions.
