Investment Processes

Abstract

ASSUMING that a venture capital firm has a clear and focused strategy and a good and balanced team of staff to implement it, the firm’s third requirement will be to have disciplined investment processes covering the identification, evaluation and approval, completion, monitoring and realisation of investments. The bigger the firm, and the more money that it manages, the greater the importance of formalising these processes, which are now explored in chronological sequence.
