Abstract

One of the great tragedies of the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the subsequent debacle of its occupation is that it made an invasion of North Korea extremely unlikely. Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction. But it is clear that North Korea does Ȅ chemical, biological, and nuclear. But more than that, overthrowing the government of Kim Jong Il would free 23 million North Koreans from being held hostage, which essentially is their current predicament.
