The Learning Cycle and Learning Styles

Abstract

The learning cycle model is used widely in organizations in the design of learning experiences for individuals, including coaching and leading others, and in the design of training programs. It is linked to what is known as “experiential learning,” literally learning from experiences, and provides people with a way of thinking about how they learn and the process of learning, rather than focusing attention solely on the “what” of learning or doing.
