Abstract

Periodically, organizations look to revitalize their operations, and more importantly their employees, through the medium of initiatives. Having been exposed to many of these programmes myself it is perhaps of no surprise that to some extent we view the prospect with a degree of cynicism. This is not because these programmes are not based on real and valuable foundations but because, from experience, the true value becomes lost in the programme and the failure of executive management to put in place the right commitment to follow through.
