Abstract

In the closing chapter of this book, we want to pick up on a theme that we used throughout the book and subsequently applied in our e-roadmapping process, and which we believe will become of greater importance in the future. The theme is connectivity. It is a theme that we believe all companies will need to consider in their e-roadmapping process, whether it will apply to the near- or long-term strategy horizon. Connectivity will be one of the most important forces in shaping the future digital landscape, and companies will need to understand the implications and possibilities of this dimension. Connectivity will by all means be the future basis for digital commerce.
