Abstract

Incidents of workplace bullying/violence commonly manifest from an intensification of risks in interactions across individual, organizational and societal situations. The interplay of these risks can also contribute to the severity of impacts (as discussed in Chapter 8). Both risks and impacts can escalate over time for many forms of bullying and violence. This chapter focuses on the escalation of risks and impacts for incidents with lead in histories, repetition of incidents and postincident interactions.
