Abstract

In the preceding chapters we have tried to demonstrate that the causes of corporate failure are, as we postulated at the outset, surprisingly few and common to most cases. We have also tried to separate symptoms from causes; to dispel the myth that the problem lies in accounting per se; and to highlight what really matters.
