Abstract

Time as a process is the dominant dimension in the make-up of most time chains. It may comprise a chain within a chain, since a process is a series of operations or events which deliver satisfaction to the customer. Some processes are repetitive, others are singular. The former offer economies of scale, the latter provide individuality.
