Case Study: How the Cloud Facilitates the Technology Solution

Abstract

According to the US National Science Foundation, the number of internet users, further enabled by mobile access, will rise from the present 1.7 billion to 5 billion by 2020. That would suggest that the vast majority of households in the world will have some form of internet connection. All this predicted growth is also generating a lot of digital data. Perhaps slightly disturbingly, the amount of data and content that will need to be stored and processed is growing exponentially.
