Abstract

The aim of this article is to contribute towards a better understanding of the systems of governance1 in a business. This involves identifying what it is that meshes among a small number of individuals with parallel but different backgrounds, a variety of economic, cultural and social capital and multiple personal attributes, within an executive committee, and how that fabric of affinities will influence the performance of the business they manage.
