Abstract

Entrepreneurs, in their impatience and excitement of raising money from investors, often give away much more of their company than they think they’re giving — and it’s generally avoidable. It’s not because the VC wouldn’t cut a fairer deal; it’s because the entrepreneur doesn’t even bother to ask or negotiate on key terms. They’re too busy fighting tooth and nail over the wrong things.
