Abstract

There are two distinct questions that are important to an understanding of Britain’s current, and (potentially) future, dominance of the world’s motorsport industry. Firstly, why are the majority of companies and technologies currently based in Britain? Secondly, why are so many of the engineers, designers, mechanics and entrepreneurs in the industry British? It is the answers to these questions that will explain why the British element of the world’s motorsport industry is so dominant.
