Abstract

Under the accelerating trend of global financial integration, especially since China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), the finance sector of China is faced with the inevitability of opening its door to the outside world. The internationalization of the Chinese currency, the renminbi (RMB)—an important channel through which to export China’s influence to the outside world—is a gradual process affected by different factors.
