The United Nations and Its General Assembly (UNGA)

Abstract

The United Nations and its General Assembly will be described in this chapter. Furthermore, the UNGA’s appropriateness for empirically testing embeddedness theory will be explained by showing how theoretical concepts from previous chapters apply to this context. Additionally, a note is added to explain the rationale for why this is an interorganizational study. Not only is the UNGA a decision-making forum offering generalizability because it is international, but it is also a network context because it is not a hierarchical authority.
