Abstract

Because the world is in a constant state of disruption, it is crucial for business models to be able to integrate new ecosystems.2 The invention (or reinvention) of business models is a hot topic. This process is highly sensitive and at times emotional because it usually hurts all the employees and forces them to abandon the old values inherent in the previous organizational culture. Many fundamentals of organizations are being scrutinized. Breakthrough thinking from inside or outside the box is critical for one to adapt the business processes of any company not only to the emergence of new technologies but also to the resulting radical behavioral and attitudinal changes among the customers. Companies must define their missions and activities in a new global, but still local, hypercompetitive environment.
