Abstract

Charities that don’t want more regulation may think they don’t have much to worry about. In a world of decreasing state and federal budgets, and in a sector that generates little in taxes1 and with so many other regulatory priorities—it may seem that no one in the corridors of power has much appetite for serious regulatory oversight or, certainly, for imposing reform.
