On The Interrelations Between Growth and the Distribution of Income

Abstract

One of the rewarding viewpoints in the recent theory of distribution has been its dynamic character in the form of attempts to unify the theory of distribution and the theory of growth. As dynamics opens up so many possibilities depending on the configuration of the structure of the models, it is not surprising that no unified (and unanimously accepted) pattern has as yet been reached. In what follows only bits and pieces of some of the relevant arguments will be presented. The following pages, in other words, do not in any sense claim comprehensiveness.1
