The Role Of International Movements of Private Capital in Promoting Development

Abstract

Capital is transferred from savers to investors through different institutional channels and instruments that have different natures and perform different functions.1 For this reason, a distinction is made in this paper between the different channels through which the international movements of private capital usually flow. A separate treatment is given to each.
