Social Problems of Absorption Since 1945

Abstract

The object of this survey is to examine the experiences of representative immigration countries since the Second World War from the social rather than the economic point of view. The scarcity of reliable data on the magnitude, composition, and effects of migratory movements in a number of countries has made it impossible to deal with the subject with scientific precision. An attempt will therefore be made to provide an empirical background as a basis for discussion.
