Abstract

Mucho se ha especulado sobre el potencial que tienen los corredores interoceánicos de IIRSA para conectar Asia con América del Sur. En particular, los Gobiernos de Ecuador y Perú evalúan la pertinencia de desarrollar rutas para enlazar la ciudad de Manaus, en el río Amazonas, con puertos en las costas del Océano Pacífico. En el presente capítulo, se comparará la conectividad marítima de las regiones involucradas en estos proyectos para evaluar el potencial de las rutas interoceánicas como nexo entre Asia y Brasil.
