Abstract

Acquiring knowledge is not limited to the educational institutions, since because of rapid changes in the society and globalisation, knowledge needs to be upgraded even after the completed formal education. With the development of web knowledge can be accessible from anywhere and at anytime. Nowadays there is a lot of free accessible content.The development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS) presents the revolution in the education field. There is no doubt that MOOCS support lifelong learning strategies and are therefore particular interesting for businesses. In the paper, the development of open education and open education supply as well as the opportunities of these materials implementation for employee training is presented.
