Abstract

In this paper, authors present main results of empirical study conducted in 76 Serbian manufacturing firms about their innovation activities before economic crisis. The paper has three interdependent aims. The first aim is to analyse innovation activities in selected firms before crisis, especially innovation strategies, innovation obstacles, and information networks. The second aim is to present statistical data about the influence of economic crisis on Serbian manufacturing industry. The third aim is to analyse effects of Serbian Government activities in order to stimulate investments and innovation in manufacturing firms during crisis.
