Abstract

En los últimos años, las economias, en su proceso de globalización, han experimentado una serie de cambios y transformaciones profundas que han influido, tanto la forma de llevar a cabo el análisis económico como el diseño mismo de la política económica (monetaria, fiscal, cambiaria, industrial, etcetera). Estos cambios han abierto nuevos paradigmas que destacan la exposición de los agentes económicos a diferentes tipos de riesgos. Estos paradigmas, en general, han abierto varios horizontes a la teoría económica y, consecuentemente, han generado herramientas más sofisticadas que permiten una mayor comprensión de los fenómenos de naturaleza estocástica; evidentemente, todos los fenómenos económicos son estocásticos.
