Abstract

El prpósito de esta investigación es determinar las características de la vinculación entre la rentabilidad y el nivel de endeudamiento de las empresas mexicanas de elevada capitalización, es decir, aquellas cuyas acciones cotizan en la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores; en particular, se realiza un análisis comparativo entre las empresas que constituyen los índices IPC Large-Cap e IPC Small-Cap. Aunque existe evidencia de que el endeudamiento de largo plazo es importante en las empresas del índice IPC Small-Cap, tanto la liquidez como el apalancamiento inciden negativamente en los niveles de rentabilidad de ambos tipos de empresas.
