Abstract

Entre el 2007 y el 2014, se llevó a cabo un conjunto de evaluaciones, que contemplaron diseños que incluyen grupos de tratamiento y control aleatorizados para evaluar los impactos del «modelo graduación». Los programas fueron implementados por distintas ONG en seis países: Etiopía, Ghana, Honduras, India, Paquistán y el Perú. Banerjee y otros (2015) resumen la evidencia de este tipo de intervenciones. Los resultados sugieren que el despliegue articulado de estas iniciativas genera impactos estadísticamente significativos tanto en el consumo —a partir del incremento de los ingresos por autoempleo— como en el bienestar psicosocial de los hogares beneficiados. El estudio muestra, también, que los impactos son costo-efectivos, y se sugiere que podrían ser sostenibles, en la medida en que se mantienen al menos un año después de culminadas las intervenciones.
