Abstract

The morality of human rights, as I explained in Chapter 1, is mainly a political morality. Vulnerability theory, as it is called, is another important contemporary political morality. I explain in this chapter why the two political moralities - vulnerability theory and the morality of human rights - are not competitive political moralities but, rather, complementary ones.
