Abstract

In this chapter, we examine the methodology section of a scholarly paper and explore its significance, discussing various aspects related to its content and presentation. The methodology section plays a crucial role in academic papers as it outlines the approach taken to conduct the study, provides a roadmap for replication, and serves as a means to establish the relevance, rigor and validity of the research findings ultimately contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the domain. We briefly describe the issues and the way this section is evaluated by reviewers and readers. Then we suggest a guideline for compiling this section by providing a series of recommendations to assist researchers in constructing a comprehensive and effective section. These guidelines are aimed at enhancing the likelihood of acceptance when submitting the research paper to a reputable outlet.
