The intertwining of climate and energy law - three thematic discussions for the emerging research agenda

Abstract

The chapter discusses the increasing substantive convergence of climate and energy law and explains why this convergence is of interest to climate and energy law scholarship. The interface between climate and energy law is explored by reference to three different issues: forest-based bioenergy, methane and electrification of transport. These three thematic discussions are identified as examples of emerging research themes at the interface of climate and energy law, which invite further scholarly attention.
