Abstract

This chapter provides a discussion of the role of cabinets in health care. They examine the influence of different cabinet composition in health care decisions and suggest that the composition of cabinets is important consistent with the idea that the background of decisions makers influences their views and priorities, and hence affects the decision-making outcomes. Understanding the effect of variables at the individual level provides a framework of analysis that can explain policy decisions.
