Abstract

The Quality Jobs Fund offers an alternative model of a community partnership. This is an initiative involving financing to intermediary organizations in order to expand access to stable, well-paying jobs with benefits for historically underserved populations. Each intermediary, in effect, collaborates not only with partners in their locality, but also with a national foundation and a bank in California. The Central Valley Fund Capital Partners is an example of an intermediary that has received an investment from the Quality Jobs Fund. It operates locally, investing in small businesses in its region.
